make up declutter and overhaul (part one*)

friday night before D came to pick me up i completely decluttered my makeup collection – unfortunately i forgot to take a picture of the before but it was bad, there was so much makeup i used once and items i used to use a lot but now didn’t look right. a few months ago i did a giant declutter of my makeup collection but i wasn’t as ruthless as i should have been.

tbh – i love makeup, i love watching make up videos but i hardly ever wear it. so why did i have such a huge collection? girl idk.

here is what my “current” make up collection looks like overview

here is a closer look at each category with product names/brands

face

for face i have – L.A Girls Pro bb cream, Tarte powder foundation, nyx finishing spray, mac concealer, mac mineralize skinfinish *this might be my favourite product ever honestlyeyes-1eyes-2for eyes -urban decay naked basics, urban decay primer potion, urban decay gwen stefani palette, wet n wild walking on egg shells palette and two mac paint pots, two glitter liners from l.a girl, two metallic nyx eye liners, a white eye liner from annabelle (this is old i need to replace), a brow gel and brow pencil from esscence and an eyelash curler lips

for lips – mac rebel lipstick, mac true love’s kiss lipstick (from the maleficent collection), nyx lip liner and 4 soft matte lip creams

*as you can probably see there is not blush which is what will bring me into the makeup declutter part two – switching to plant based makeup. honestly i only need one blush (maybe two if i’m feeling risky) and a lot of these things i only need one or two of and once i am done with these products or they expire (tbh most probably have already…ew) i will be switching them to plant based products because that’s where my life is headed? in my brain the logic is – use less product but what is used is better quality and better for the earth/my health

i might do a wishlist later.. so watch out?
